A dear friend of mine got married recently, and I was honored to be part of her bridal party. Her wedding theme was this autumn/ren-faire fusion, which was incredibly fun in addition to being beautiful. For instance, instead of bouquets, the bridesmaids (the “Queen’s Guard”) and the groomsmen (the “King’s Guard”) would both be holding shields during the ceremony. That’s where Fire & Pine comes into this story.
Fire & Pine is a small local business just over the border of South Carolina that laser cuts intricate wood projects, most notably their gorgeous wooden maps, but they also take custom jobs.

They cut me my pieces the very next workday after I emailed them, and just like that I was ready to move on to decoration and assembly. I couldn’t have achieved my desired results without them.
