Once I have a decent enough idea what I want, I break out the grid paper. I go through this stuff pretty quickly. It's a great help with quickly experimenting with shots and perspective.
After I'm done picking out the sketches I like, I scan them, cut them into panels, and tighten up the drawings as I go.
